Frequently Asked Questions
Q. 1   What are the differences between a human hair wig and a monofibre wig?
Over the years the fibre used in making wigs has improved dramatically. I have been told many times by clients that they prefer fibre. Monofibre weighs less than human hair and holds it’s shape when washed. Most human hair wigs are heavier to wear and have to be cut and styled after purchasing. They do feel softer to the touch but once washed, they have to be blow-dried back to their original shape.

As with anything there are pros and cons to both. Personally, I love the feel of human hair but hate the weight and the restyling after every wash. Monofibre is just easier and, looked after, can feel as good as human. REMEMBER you will only be wearing the wig for six to eight months.
Q. 2   What are the differences between a machine made wig and a monofilament wig?
There is no competition here; monofilament base is the only way to go. It is the closest thing to getting a
custom made wig. Available in monofibre or human hair, the choice of styles is now almost limitless.
Monofilament is a hand tied top with a see through base for a realistic hairline and parting plus machine
wefting at the sides and back.
Your wig will breathe while being worn preventing heat and moisture build up. However fantastic a wig looks,
if it is isn’t comfortable, you will not wear it. A monofilament wig is more comfortable and weighs very little in comparison to a machine made wig.
