Q. 3 How should I wash and care for my wig?
Wig care is usually very simple and easy. Each monofibre wig comes with a special shampoo and conditioner spray. They are easy to wash and can be dry within a few hours. You cannot blow dry a monofibre wig but you can with a human hair wig. Full care instructions come with each hair piece purchased. If in any doubt we are just a phone call away with any queries. Wig care is usually very simple and easy.
Q. 4 Can I get financial help from the Health Board?
Anyone with a medical card can apply to the Health Board for help in part, or full, payment of their wig. We at Rapunzel’s can do most of the paperwork and all we need from a client is a prescription stating that they will loose their hair undergoing their treatment. The prescription can be had from your doctor or at the hospital when you are attending for your appointment.
We will do the rest.It usually takes about a week to get authorisation. Sometimes it can take a little longer, but do not worry,
delay is usually quite rare with most health boards.
